US President Donald Trump has proposed to introduce a five milli-dollar \u2018gold card\u2019 instead of an EB-5 visa for foreign investors. US citizenship can also be purchased, which is the US President on Tuesday (Feb. 25).<\/p>\n
Trump told reporters that EB-5 visas are issued by investing in a large sum of money in the United States. A chance to become a permanent resident, which will be replaced by a \u2018Gold Card\u2019 will be introduced in place of which US citizenship can be purchased for $500,000.<\/p>\n
He said, \u2018This new gold card will open the way for green card along with the benefits of green card, he said, \u2019rich people can buy this card and come to our country.\"<\/p>\n
It has been announced that the details of the new program will be announced within the next two weeks.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, according to the USCIS website, the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program was approved by the Congress in 1990. The program was launched in the United States through foreign investment to create employment and economic development.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, the commerce minister of the new government, Howard Lutnik, called the EB-5 program meaningless, fictitious and deceptive on Tuesday, saying, \u2018The President wants to cancel this defective project and launch the gold card.\u2019<\/p>\n
