Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus invited more US investment in Bangladesh and said that his government has taken various steps to attract foreign investment and improve the business environment of the country.<\/p>\n
On Tuesday (October 15), Dhaka, he told a US business delegation, \"You have come to this country in the right direction.\"<\/p>\n
Accelerate Energy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and US-Bangladesh Business Council Chairman Steven Cobos led the US business delegation under the leadership of the Rashtra Guest House Yamuna, Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad met Yunus.<\/p>\n
Appreciating the chief advisor of the interim government, Steven Kobos said, \"It will increase business confidence in Bangladesh.\"<\/p>\n
He said, since taking your title, the interest of American companies in Bangladesh has increased.<\/p>\n
Kobos also said that the top US companies including members of the US-Bangladesh Business Council are very interested in the business potential in this South Asian country.<\/p>\n
Accelerate Energy CEO Kobos said his company was in Bangladesh's energy sector and reducing carbon emissions. More investment is planned.<\/p>\n
He said the company wants to increase the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the country. At present, Accelerate has invested in two offshore floating storage and regasification units (FSRU) of Bangladesh, which provides 1.1 billion cubic feet of gas per day, which is 34 percent of the daily gas supply in the country.<\/p>\n
The chief advisor of the US-Bangladesh Business Council, who recently visited the United States, addressed an event, which included 50 members of the organization, including some of the top American multinational companies. Yunus invited the US businessmen to invest in Bangladesh.<\/p>\n
During the meeting with Steven Cobos, former US Ambassador Peter Hass, Peter Hass, was a senior official in Accelerate Energy, and recently joined as a strategic advisor to Accelerate Energy, and the company's vice president Derek Otang and Ramon and Ramon and Ramon and Bangladesh resident manager Habib Bhuyat were present.<\/p>\n
