Md Mubarak Hasen, Narsingdi Representative:<\/strong> The polling of two upazilas of Narsingdi and Manohardi and Belab Upazila Parishad in the second phase of the 6th Upazila Parishad election has ended.<\/p>\n

Although the voter turnout is low, the elections have been held in a free, fair, impartial and peaceful environment in the midst of the security system. A total of 5 candidates for the post of Manohardi Upazila Chairman, 7 for the post of Vice Chairman and 4 as Women Vice Chairman contested.<\/p>\n

In the upazila parishad election, seven people contested for the post of chairman in the upazila parishad election, eight for the post of vice chairman and five for the post of female vice-chanterman. The polls were held continuously from 8 am to 4 pm on Tuesday (May 21). The presiding officer announced the results at the respective centers after the polling.<\/p>\n

After that, the joint results of all the centers were announced by the assistant returning officer and Manohardi upazila executive officer.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the current chairman of Belab Upazila Parishad, Mohammad Samser Zaman Bhuya Riton, got 30 thousand 206 votes per motorcycle for the post of Belab Upazila of Narsingdi. Md. Sharif Uddin Khan Momen (Cup Perich) got 19 thousand 93 votes.<\/p>\n
