Sagarika Cinema Hall located in Banrupa Hall and Burmi Bazar has long been closed due to lack of audience. <\/p>\n<p>The only active Shapla cinema hall in the heart of the upazila located in the heart of Sripur upazila is about to be closed due to lack of audience.<\/p>\n<p>It is known that the Shapla Cinema Hall was inaugurated on December 8, 1983 during the tenure of Hussain Mohammad Ershad as President, and the then Executive Officer of Sreepur Upazila, Dhiraj Malakar, inaugurated the cinema hall.<\/p>\n<p>Produced by Abdur Rauf Dhali, directed by Mumtaz Ali (Wasim Kabri Shabana), the hall started its journey with the film Iman. The hall has been running with vigil for three decades, but for the past few years, there is a lack of audience.<\/p>\n<p>On the surface, it is being shown that the movie enemy is being shown on the occasion of Eid. About 20 movie lovers are waiting to buy tickets. Harunur Rashid, the caretaker of the hall, said that there is one show every day, but this Eid, there are two shows every day, there are 20\/25 spectators in each show.<\/p>\n<p>Hall manager Raju Mondal said - Desi film was once a golden age but that golden age has passed long ago. They lost the audience due to low quality movies and pornographic films. The domestic halls including Sripur Shapla cinema hall have been facing 4 shows every day. There was a time when there were 4 shows every day.<\/p>\n<p>Helal Uddin, a prominent businessman of Sreepur Bazar, said that Shapla Cinema Hall, one of the centers of entertainment for the people of Sreepur, used to come and watch movies from different areas of the upazila.
