Farid Ahmed Abir, Rajshahi: On the occasion of the 103rd birthday of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Children's Day celebration, various events were organized by the upazila administration.
\nA discussion meeting was held in the upazila parishad hall on Friday morning and after the discussion meeting, the cake was cut. <\/p>\n

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sohel Rana was present as the chief guest of the president of Rajshahi-5 Constituency Member of Parliament and Member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Professor Dr. Md. Mansur Rahman.
\nUpazila Parishad Chairman Bir Muktijoddha Nazrul Islam, Municipal Mayor Sajedur Rahman Mithu, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Krishna Chandra, Women Vice Chairman Banesha Begum, Officer-in-Charge of Durgapur Police Station Nazmul Haque were present as special guests.<\/p>\n

\nMeanwhile, Durgapur Municipality Mayor Sajedur Rahman Mithu cut the cake with madrasa students in the afternoon of the same day.
\nOn Friday afternoon, he cut the cake with the leaders and workers at a madrasa in the municipal headquarters, and prayed for the souls of all the martyrs of the family including Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the four national leaders and the martyrs of the liberation war.<\/p>\n

\nMP Mansoor Rahman distributed 6 thousand taka in cash and two bundles of deutin and inaugurated the new building of Ail Jame Masjid in the fire.<\/p>\n

In the evening, a cake cutting was organized by the upazila Chhatra League in the MP's own office on the occasion of Bangabandhu's birthday.
