Dhaka's newly appointed Chinese ambassador Itao O'Ten said that China and Bangladesh are partners in \u2018normal cooperation\u2019 whereas the potential of Dhaka and Beijing's relations is \u2018boundless\u2019.<\/p>\n
\nHe said at the reception honored by the new envoy at the Chinese Embassy on Monday evening, \u2018The possibilities of China-Bangladesh relations are unlimited.\u2019
\nHe also said that China and Bangladesh are partners in normal relations because both are developed and large-populated countries.
\nThe new ambassador said, \u2018We have no unresolved conflict or a historical burden.\u2019
\nHe said, China and Bangladesh will cooperate and coordinate in regional and multilateral poisoning in an uncertain and unstable world.
\nHe said that the cooperation of economy, trade and large projects is serving as the basis of bilateral relations between Dhaka and Beijing.
\nHe also said, \u2018The cooperation between China and Bangladesh will also improve the welfare of the people of the two countries.\u2019
\nHe said, a significant number of swamps, bridges, power plants, ports and other infrastructure projects have been completed which has reshaped the geographical picture of Bangladesh, which has created more than 1 million employment opportunities, socio-economic development and improving the quality of life of the people of Bangladesh.
\nHe also said that China has made a new journey towards a modern socialist country in the overall sense where Bangladesh is working on the implementation of \u2018Vision 2041\u2019 to form the \u2018Golden Bangla\u2019 of a unique dream.
\nThe ambassador hoped that China would create a good example of Bangladesh's relationship developing countries to understand, trust and support each other.
\nHe said, as a close neighbor, there is a natural feeling of intimacy, similar ideas and values among the people of the two countries. <\/p>\nThe ambassador mentioned that the father of the nation of Bangladesh, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, visited China twice in the 1950s.<\/p>\n
He said, he was impressed by what he saw during that trip and wrote a travelogue called \u2018Amar Dekha Nata China\u2019 which has captured his good and warm feelings about China in the hearts and minds of the people of Bangladesh.
\nPrime Minister's Private Industry and Investment Advisor Salman F Rahman, Army Chief General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed and Foreign Secretary (West) Shabbir Ahmed were present on the occasion.
