The price of electricity is again due to the government's executive order. This time, the prices of two retail and wholesale categories have been increased by 5 percent, and this new rate will be effective from tomorrow, Wednesday (March 1).<\/p>\n
A notification in this regard has been issued by the Electricity Department on Tuesday (February 28) night.<\/p>\n
According to the notification, the price of electricity has been fixed from 4 taka 14 patsa to 4 taka 35 per unit for lifeline customers with zero to 50 unit users in the retail level. Besides, the price of electricity will be 4 taka 62 per centa from zero to 75 unit users (first stage).

In this case, the previous month demand charge was Tk 35, which is still kept the same.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the price of electricity per unit for irrigation pumps used in agriculture has increased from 4 taka 37 paisa 4 taka 82 paisa. In this case too, the monthly demand charge has been kept at 35 taka as before.<\/p>\n
Power and Energy, on the other hand, in the case of small industry, now the flat rate is 9 taka 88 paisa, off pk 8 taka 88 paisa and PK 11 taka 85 paisa. Earlier this rate was 8 taka 95 paisa, 8 taka 6 paisa and 10 taka 75 paisa respectively. And the demand charge is kept at 40 taka.<\/p>\n
