A rescue team of 46 members was sent to the country to assist in the rescue operation in the earthquake-ravaged Turkey led by the Bangladesh Army.<\/p>\n
Members of the Sena Bahini Chao Fatar Service are in the team, including specialist medical team and medicines sent to Turkey for the most vulnerable people.<\/p>\n
This information was informed in a press release of the Inter-Services Public Relations Department (ISPR) on Wednesday (February 08) night.<\/p>\n
According to the notification, in view of the request of the government of Bangladesh by the Turkish government to support the rescue work in post-earthquake rescue, a special rescue team of 46 members led by the Bangladesh Army left Dhaka for Turkey by Air Force C-130 aircraft with the aim of providing rescue and medical facilities in the most affected areas of Gazintep province in Turkey.<\/p>\n
It is also said in the notification that in the light of the policy of International Search and Rescue Advisor Group (INSARAG), 24 army personnel and 12 senior service and civil defense members are traveling with 36 members of the Urban Search and Rescue Team with necessary equipment. <\/p>\n
Two medical teams of 10-member army, including specialist doctors, are also going to provide emergency medical services including medicine and medical equipment. The Turkish government has sincerely thanked the government of this initiative of the Bangladesh government.
