Today Monday (January 30) in the question and answer of the National Parliament, the information minister came to know this in response to a question from the opposition party member Mujibul Haque. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury presided over the question and answer table.<\/p>\n
He said, currently 162 online news portals, 169 online portals of daily newspapers and 15 online portals of TV channels have been registered from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.<\/p>\n
Stating that the government has planned to stop the spread of anti-national news, the information minister said that the conduct of activities that spread confusion in the public mind and intelligence of the government. Based on the information of the organization, the Department of Posts and Telecommunications has already sent a letter to the Department of Posts and Telecommunications to cancel the domain allocation of 191 online news portals.<\/p>\n
In response to the question of Saida Rubina Akhtar, Member of Parliament of the reserved women's seat, he said that the number of daily, weekly and monthly newspapers published in the capital Dhaka is 1,141. Among them, 509 daily newspapers, 345 weekly and 287 monthly newspapers.
