For the first time, Bangladesh has achieved the ability to successfully transplant two kidneys from the body of a brain death patient, which led BSMMU Renal Transplant Surgeon Professor Habibur Rahman Dulal. <\/p>\n
Two kidneys have been transplanted into the body of two female kidney patients from the body of 20-year-old brain death woman Sara, another transplant done at BSMMU, another transplant by the National Kidney Foundation, which is currently the same for both patients. <\/p>\n
Professor Habibur Rahman said, \"A patient named Sara, 20 years old with genetic disease, has undergone a surgery at BSMMU. Then when her condition worsens, she will be kept in the ICU. When we realize that she is going to brain death, we counsel her mother.\" <\/p>\n
Her school teacher, mother, gave permission for two kidneys and two corneal transplants to undergo brain death, but two kidney transplants were still preserved.
