Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that the next election will be held as per the constitution of the country, she said while meeting four members of parliament from the British All-Party Parliamentary Group at the Prime Minister's office in the capital on Wednesday (January 4).<\/p>\n
Prime Minister's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim briefed the journalists after the meeting.<\/p>\n
He said that the four MPs who participated in the meeting are Rushnara Ali, Jonathan Reynolds, Mohammad Isain and Tom Hunt. Addressing the British MPs, Sheikh Hasina said, \"Elections commission is very independent in the country. We follow the democracy of your Ostminster. We have no problem when the election observers come.\"<\/p>\n
He said that in the past, as a political party, the Awami League has a long tradition of restoring democracy from the military rulers, which used guns to seize state power and form political parties and support politics by forming political parties.<\/p>\n
He said that food grains, goods and edible oils came from Ukraine, but the import of these products was hindered due to the war. As a result, the prices of these things are increasing, and the head of the government said that we will welcome the UK's investment there, calling on UK entrepreneurs to invest in 100 special economic zones across the country.<\/p>\n
The press secretary said that the British MPs expressed their satisfaction with the unprecedented infrastructural development of Bangladesh. They praised Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for this development, especially they praised the development of connectivity including the metro rail, Padma Bridge and Bangabandhu Tunnel. They believe that these infrastructure will be very helpful in the development of Bangladesh.<\/p>\n
