A defamation case has been filed against the publisher and editor of the weekly New Path newspaper published from Laxmipur.<\/p>\n
Yesterday (January 30) on Monday, Md. Hossain, son of deceased Abdul Munaf of Samserabad village of Laxmipur town, filed a defamation case of Tk 1 crore in the Senior Judicial Magistrate Court.<\/p>\n
The learned court ordered the officer in charge of Laxmipur Sadar police station to investigate the case and submit a report.<\/p>\n
Recently, Laxmipur Sadar Thana Police arrested 2 people named Md Hossain and Swapan from Samserabad area of the municipality No. 7. Later, a weekly new newspaper published from Laxmipur published a news report on them. In the wake of the news, Md. Hossain's honor has been eroded and the plaintiff filed a defamation case of Tk 1 crore in the court on Monday afternoon.
