Amena Begum has been promoted to the post of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIZ) of Bangladesh Police. The decision was announced in an order signed by Altaf Hossain, Deputy Secretary of the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Sunday (December 27), and earlier on Saturday (December 26), Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina approved the promotion as per the recommendation of the Superior Selection Board of the police. In the same order, a total of 11 officials were promoted as DIG.<\/p>\n
Currently, he is appointed as Additional Commissioner of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP).<\/p>\n
Amena Begum is the meteor of Mozammel Haque of Char Mansa village of Bhabaniganj village of Laxmipur Sadar Upazila.<\/p>\n
According to the history book of Lakshmipur district Lakshmipur datiri, Amena Begum joined Bangladesh Police Service as Assistant Superintendent of Police in 1999 through 18th BCS through 18th BCS after graduating in English Literature from Chittagong University.<\/p>\n
He has worked in various districts of the country in his 20 years of service in the country's ranks as Superintendent of Police, Rangamati and Narsingdi District. He also served as Deputy Commissioner (North) of CMP. He has been awarded the highest rank of police in 2015 in 2015.<\/p>\n
