In Kamalnagar of Laxmipur, the local people are building Jangalbandh on their own initiative to save the Nashirganj market of Char Kalkini in the upazila from the erosion of the Meghna river. They started the construction of the forest dam on Friday (June 26) morning. The entrepreneurs call this dam \u2018Swapner Jungle\u2019.<\/div>\n

Nashirganj market is going to be gradually disappearing under the river without the construction of dams on government allocation.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

They expressed hope that it will take 3 days to build this 500 feet long forest embankment on volunteer work, 150 local volunteers will work on the construction of this dam.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The local people have supported the construction of the dam as per the ability.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
