Contact tracing app has been opened to identify patients infected with coronavirus (COVID-19) and those who came in contact with the smartphone-based app now available on Google Play Store.<\/p><\/div>\n

The app was officially launched on Thursday (June 04) with the information and communication technology (ICT) Department Minister Junaid Ahmed Palak inaugurated the app in a video conference as the chief guest.<\/p>\n

SMT was present as special guest by Sinister Secretary of ICT Department NM G. Taul Alam, Director General of Health Department Professor Dr. Abul Kalam Azad, Director of Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) Mirzadi Sabrina Flora, Founder and Managing Director of Sahaj Maliha M. Kadir and others.<\/p>\n

The contact tracing app will play a very important role in identifying patients infected with corona and their contacts. The app will tell the user whether he was close to someone with coronavirus or not.<\/p>\n

Maliha M. Qadir gave a presentation about the Covid-19 contact tracing app at the event.<\/p>\n

About the app, Junaid Ahmed Palak said, \"The Corona Tracer BD app should be used on the smartphone to protect yourself and your family. The risk will be reduced if you use the app. It will be known whether you have come in contact with any corona patients or infected people around the use of the app.<\/p>\n

Palak also said that the government's dream of building a digital Bangladesh based on technology is coming up with one technology-based solution to dealing with problems and crises. The government has come up with one such app dealing with Corona Tracer BD. The government has already played an important role in creating a life and livelihood protection environment. The government has already kept the life and living life through technology-based solutions in agriculture, education, health and emergency food supply.<\/p>\n

App State Minister Palak has requested everyone to download and use it.<\/p>\n

The app has worked to develop the ICT department, the Department's Mobile Game Applications Project, the Department of Health, IEDCR and Access to Information (A2I).<\/p>\n
